This Privacy Policy explains how One Information Technology LLC, operator of the HalalQueue mobile application and related services (“we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when customers and participating stores use our services.

By using HalalQueue, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Carrier & CTIA SMS Non-Sharing Guarantee

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with or sold to any third parties.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may collect the following information:

A. Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect information such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Username or account identifier
  • Password or authentication information
  • Account preferences

Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing and security protections and are not visible to participating stores.

B. Order Information

When you place an order, we may collect information including:

  • Products selected
  • Meat, chicken, fish, or other grocery selections
  • Quantity or estimated weight
  • Cut, preparation, cleaning, packaging, or other special instructions
  • Selected store or pickup location
  • Requested pickup date or time
  • Order notes
  • Order price or estimated price
  • Order status
  • Store-proposed modifications
  • Customer approval or rejection of modifications
  • Cancellation information
  • Order history

Because final weight or preparation of certain products may vary, the final price charged at pickup may differ from an estimated price displayed in the App.

C. Store Information

For participating grocery stores and authorized store personnel, we may collect information including:

  • Store name
  • Store address
  • Store contact information
  • Authorized employee or administrator information
  • Store account information
  • Order processing activity
  • Acceptance, rejection, modification, and fulfillment information

D. Communications

We may collect communications between customers, stores, and our support team relating to orders, customer service, disputes, or technical assistance.

E. Device and Technical Information

Depending on the technologies used in the App, we may automatically receive technical information, such as:

  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • App version
  • IP address
  • Device identifiers
  • Push-notification tokens
  • Crash and diagnostic information
  • App usage information

We use this information primarily to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App.

F. Location Information

The App may use store address, ZIP code, city, or other location information to help identify participating pickup locations. If the App requests device location permissions, it will prompt for your permission prior to access.

2. Payment Information

HalalQueue does not process online payments for customer grocery orders. Customers pay the participating grocery store directly upon order pickup. We do not collect or store customer payment card numbers through the App.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information collected through the App to:

  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Authenticate accounts and deliver one-time verification passcodes (OTP) via SMS
  • Receive, process, and transmit customer orders to selected grocery stores
  • Allow stores to accept, decline, or propose order modifications
  • Communicate order status and pickup information
  • Provide customer and technical support
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, unauthorized access, and abuse
  • Maintain app security and diagnose technical problems
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information for money.

We disclose information only in the following legitimate operational circumstances:

Participating Grocery Stores: Order details (customer name, contact number, items, cutting/preparation instructions, notes) are shared solely to enable the merchant to prepare and fulfill the order.
Service Providers: Cloud hosting, database, push notification, SMS infrastructure (such as Twilio), and fraud prevention vendors process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
Legal and Safety Reasons: Disclosure if required by subpoena, court order, applicable law, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of our users.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to customary privacy assurances.
SMS Originator Protection: As noted above, text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will strictly NOT be shared with, sold to, or used by third parties or marketing affiliates for promotional purposes.

5. Push Notifications & SMS Alerts

With your permission, we send push notifications and/or SMS messages for order status, modification requests, pickup readiness, and one-time verification passcodes (OTP). Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply.

6. Data Retention & Security

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the services, maintain transaction records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal requirements. We implement appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

7. Your Choices & Account Deletion

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Customers may delete their account via in-app settings (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or by emailing us directly at support@halal-queue.com.

8. Children’s Privacy

HalalQueue is not directed to individuals under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top and provide appropriate notice through the App or website.
